Can Government do a better job with Health Care?

Listen to the man. He has very informed and well researched opinions. This is a subject that's worth having an opinion over.

Agreed.

What do you think auto insurance would cost if it had to pay for tune-ups, oil changes, tires, wiper blades, and burnt out lights?

Maybe we should let the government manage that for us too....

He makes some good points.

I'm not quite sure that would completely get rid of the this problem: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=105680875
That's probably one of the biggest and morally outrageous problems with our healthcare system. His solution may address it, I'm not entirely sure.

Also, check out this article in the New Yorker from a couple weeks ago. It's pretty long, but definitely worth the read. Dr. Gawande makes a good case that it doesn't really matter who pays if we don't address the underlying issues, which he does a good job of explaining.
