Did you ever think about the fact that, if your a Christian, you're currently living your "eternal life". Eternity doesn't suddenly start when you get to heaven. Eternity is already here, and the moment you're saved you begin.
What an amazing God we serve!

That's a neat thought... we have a LOOOONNNNGGGG life ahead of us...
Taryn's comment made me think of a night before I repented. I was in the 6th or 7th grade and was thinking about when I die and the thought of "eternity" scared me. I could grasp a day, a month and a year and visualize the earth's rotation around the sun and the spinning on its axis and all of that but I just pictured this mass of "heaven" floating aimlessly out in space as "eternity". This terrified me. I started crying and my mom came to my room and asked what was wrong. I explained all of this and she said, "If you spend eternity in heaven you will be with Jesus and even all of eternity will not seem like long enough". Although I know Jesus' blood covered my sins and that I will spend eternity in heaven, it still is so unfathomable to me that it is a bit scary. But what a day that will be when my Jesus I will see!!
Everyone will spend eternity somewhere- there is no choice in that but we do get to choose where we will spend it.
Yeah, I totally agree that the thought of eternity can be overwhelming. I think that's where we just have to cling to the promises in the Word...We're promised that it will be far beyond what we can ever imagine. To be in the presence of the Holiness of God...We can't comprehend it, and we'll never understand it until we're there...I'm thankful that we have the promises. I don't focus on them enough.
