After reading Elise's post this morning, I had these thoughts.
Do you ever find yourself in that place where worship seems...I don't know the word...difficult?...but yet not difficult...
When your wretchedness as a human stands out starkly in your mind, and you can't comprehend why the God of the Universe would be patient with you and love you unconditionally? When all you can do is lay hold of the promises in the Word and surrender what you have, and you feel like it's a pathetic offering? When you realize with disgust all the mire you allow to cling to you - all the pride you harbor - and you bow in amazement that Christ has a robe that is pure and perfect and righteous - you bow in amazement that He's willing to put that robe on your filth and cover it. It is clothed in that robe that you come before our almighty creator to Praise Him through it all, because you know He's worthy of so much more.

God's blessed you with an ability to hit the nail on the head.
If I don't come into worship thinking/feeling that way, I normally have some evaluating to do:) The incredible thing is that there we are, realizing our nothingness, yet doing our best to praise Him, to give something to Him... and then we feel an incredible peace and His nearness... when we're trying to give him something, He floods us with blessings!
WOW, He is worthy of ALL praise!
