Big thanks to the Topeka people who helped organize this past weekend. It was a huge blessing.
Cory Metzger had a wonderful Bible Study over 1 Corinthians 3:1-15. He talked a lot about how the motives behind our works will determine whether they burn up when tried. It's important to have a heart for God in all that we do. It was a wonderful study with lots of input.
After the Bible Study we went to a Hospice house and sang some hymns for about 45 minutes. Then we split into two groups. One group went to a Ronald McDonald House and did some spring cleaning, and the other group went the house of a 54 year old couple who recently had premature triplets. They spent several hours cleaning and organizing the house for them. The mother hadn't been out of the house in 3 months because these triplets kept her so busy.
After the service projects we had a great supper of BBQ pork, played some games, and did some singing with Tommie playing guitar.
It was truly a blessing. We made some great memories and deepened some Christian Friendships.
